Like any well-conditioned athlete there is that time when you step off the practice field and into the game. You rely on what you have been taught and the training you put your body through to see if you can perform to the best of your abilities. This Lent we talked about the disciplines of the faith and Easter is that time when we put them to the test. It is that time when all the time spent with God and rearranging our hearts and lives comes to its culminating point. This year we have a packed Passion Week and I hope that you will attend as much as you can.   Starting the night of Palm Sunday and continuing through Wednesday night we celebrate “Come and Go Communion”; this is a time that you can read a short devotional following Jesus’ week and enjoy communion at your own pace. It is designed so you can come after work, after dinner, or really anytime. It takes a few minutes and is at your own pace. We also have the Maundy Thursday Service and Good Friday Service to participate in. These services are not to be a burden for you but a time to put your faith onto the playing field. You have spent Lent preparing and using the disciplines to change your inner and outer life- this week is to give you an outlet of worship and time with God. So, come and join us this Easter, come and enjoy the music, prayers, communion, and the people, but most of all come and reconnect with Jesus Christ.
