Father/son camp is May 16-18 at John Knox Center. Please sign the list located in the narthex or the pew pad if you would like to attend.
May 27th we will have a picnic at Two Rivers Pavilion. We will give you more information on this later
Pictoral Directory Photos begin May 8, 9-2pm-9pm- and May 10th from 10am-6pm.
Softball Game May 5th at 6pm and May 8th at 6pm.
Donut Sunday is May 11 at 10:20 in the fellowship hall.
Session and Deacon Meeting Tuesday, May 13th at 7pm. Please remember that the Confirmation Class will meet with the Session to be officially recognized as members of the church on this night from 7 until 7:30pm. Your child must attend this meeting. There is no way to reschedule or have them voted on before Confirmation Sunday on May 25th.
Sisterhood Brunch May 17th.
On Mother's Day we will be taking up a special offering in honor of mothers for local children. Half of the offering will go to the Emerald Youth Foundation which helps build local leaders to make an impact on poverty stricken communities by spreading the Gospel among youth. The other half will go to the Courage House which is a Christian-based residential home for unwed teenage mothers after the birth of their babies who desire to rebuild their lives.

Funeral information for John Bova:
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Jason Haas officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery on Thursday for 11:00 AM interment services. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to VH1 Save the Music Foundation, Attention Deniecs Dykes c/o John Bova Fund, 1635 Broadway 114, New York, New York 10019.

It is getting closer and closer to Easter. This week we have a special treat of having Samuel and Monica Wambugu with us on Sunday for worship. Please make sure you come and hear about the wonderful ministry that they do in Kenya. Also, we will be asking for people to sign up for home stays for the Samford Choir. We will need people to sign up to allow 2 students to stay one night at their house as the choir passes through town and performs a concert.
